Gunmetal is a shade of grey that has greenish undertones.  For  the longest time I have been obsessed with the color especially with regards eye shadow. Last year YouTubers and beauty gurus Desi Perkins and Katy released a makeup collection with Dose of Colors and their eye shadow palette included a gunmetal shimmer shade with blueish green undertones. I haven’t been able to get my hands on that palette yet.c

However, Makeup Revolution one of my favorite makeup brands last, December, released their Life on the Dance Floor collection which had palettes with 90% shimmer shades. My favorite palette is the After Party palette which had a lot of grayish, greenish shimmer shades. So i decide to create a pearlescent gunmetal eye shadow look. Below is an image of the palette.

Here is the look I created using this palette

How to Create the look

• I used the shade Celebrate which is the first shade in the palette as my base.
• Next I used the shades Until Dawn and Up All Night, which are the fourth and fifth shadows in the first row as my crease colours
• Next I used a mix of Blowout ( the last shade on the second row) Shindig ( third shade on the third row) and Socialite (fifth shade on the third row) as my lid colors.

Tip; use a shader brush or flat brush with a pointed tip to give a cut crease effect. My wet and Wild small concealer brush with a pointed tip helped me carve out my lid space.

Keeping with the Makeup Revolution theme, I used the MUR  Camouflage palette to contour and highlight. I used the MUR banana powder to set my under eye.

To contour,  I used Up All Night the fifth shade on the first row of the eyeshadow and I was pleasantly surprised. To highlight, I used two products from the Makeup Revolution family, Dragons Heart and  Makeup Revolution Strobe Highlighter in Gold Addict.

On my lips is the Makeup Revolution liquid lipstick in the shade Glory.
