A MINIMALIST GUIDE TO STYLE

Minimalism isn’t just a lifestyle choice it could also be a persons, personal style. How they dress and accessorise. Minimalist style features a limited color palette and a slim closet.

So many moons ago, I thought I could fully live the minimalist lifestyle, with very few possessions, clean, simple and chic. Do I still want that? Of course, I just haven’t gotten the hang of clearing out my closet from time to time.  I decided to carry out a social experiment of sorts.  I tried to test my self to see how many looks I could come up with using only 7 articles of clothing.  Here is my minimalist guide to style.

5 LOOKS, 7 PIECES = MINIMALIST STYLE

In carrying out my assignment, I style 5 looks for 5 days of the week using 4 pieces of clothing and 3 shoes.

LOOK 1

Pair a loose tee with denim and sneakers for a minimalist casual looks

Throw a statement longline jacket over the denim and replace the sneakers with flat mules for an added level of style.

There you have it my go at as many looks I can style using 7 articles of clothing. The minimalist lifestyle is about making the most out of little. For someone who loves clothes and fashion as much as do, the wise course will be to regularly empty out my closet in order to get new clothes.

That’s great in theory but I hope to put it to work. I definitely will share with you my journey to living a minimalist lifestyle.
