The winter olympics are in full bloom and so I was inspired by the medals to create a gold and bronze makeup look. The eyeshadow is very bronzey with touches of a yellow gold highlight.
Finding the perfect bronze eyeshadow for dark skin can be a challenge. I found mine in the bronze shade of the Hegai and Esther Flash Pan. You can see my review of this palette here.
I used the Makeup Revolution After Party palette to develop my crease. Then I used the bronze shade on my lid. No liner and just a coat mascara softens this look even more.
Trophy Wife Dupe?
The part I’m most excited about is this one. Fenty Beauty took over 2017 and Trophy Wife took over YouTube. The yellow gold highlighter was on the lips of every beauty influencer.
Have I found a dupe for this gem?
I purchased the I Heart Makeup London’s Dragon’s heart baked highlighter expecting a beautiful highlight. I got just that, with all the shades mixed together. Individually, they are beautiful and blinding.
One of those individual shades is a yellow gold highlighter. The last shade in the palette. When I swatched it I was excited at the thought of a possible dupe for Trophy Wife.
To complete my bronze makeup, I used this shade as my inner corner highlight and cheekbone highlighter. Quite blinding however this shade doesn’t have the True Yellow that Trophy Wife does. Sadly it leaves a grey cast on my fave when the light isn’t hitting it.
In conclusion I found an amazingly blinding yellow highlight shade just not a dupe for Trophy Wife.
Tell me what you think about the bronze makeup with gold highlights?
